Pacha means five & Tikta refers to bitter taste means Panchatikta is a group of five bitter medicines. The five drugs are Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Nimbamulatwak (Azadirachta indica), Vasa (Adhatoda vasica), Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum) & Patolapatra (Trichosanthes dioica).
